Vijay Eswaran Is Featured On The World Economic Forum 2016

The 46th edition of the high-profile World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in 2016 took place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. Over 40 heads of state and 2500 leaders attended the convention.

The forum’s theme was “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution.” Vijay Eswaran spoke on how to build mindful organizations. Referring to the Chinese saying that goes “…an emperor plans a century at a time,” Vijay advised that when building a business, one has to think beyond his or her own lifetime.

Comparing business to spirituality, a businessman will not only focus on making profits, but also intend to do right and create good will. When one makes his work a worship, the office will become the temple, the desk an altar and the work becomes an offering to God.

With such an approach, an individual will build a business on sound ethical infrastructure, resulting to better treatment of employees, enhanced employee engagement, distribution of profits, and extensive networking.

Using an example of his company QI, Vijay said that they have embedded EQ, a set of intangible qualities and principles like loyalty, trust, faith, attitude and even care, which have helped them to create a sense of family within the company.
