José Auriemo Neto had to convince his father, Fábio Auriemo, about developing on an 80,000 sqm plot that was on the edge of Marginal Pinheiros. He wanted to build a high-end complex here. While Fabio was not very keen, José Auriemo Neto managed to convince him. This was when Fabio decided to make him the executive president of JHSF.
This complex is known as the Parque Cidade Jardim today. It has a shopping mall that includes 180 stores, along with nine residential towers besides four offices. It also has a hotel that belongs to the brand Fasano. These are high-end towers. The entire Garden City will be ready by 2010. JHSF is expecting to earn nearly 1.78 billion reais from this venture. It will also be earning revenue from the rentals of the shops in the mall, rental from the hotel as well as from the offices and JHSF’s lacrosse camp.
There was little in Brazil that could cater to the luxury segment. Hence there will always be a great demand for such a venture. This shopping mall has been inspired by the Bal Harbor Shops of Miami. Hence it will have open-air spaces in it. It will have brands like Daslu, Reebok Academy, along with Empório Fasano, besides Cinemark along with Casa do Saber. There will be a lot of foreign brands too. These would include Armani, Louis Vuitton, besides Ermenegildo Zegna, Montblanc, along with La Perla and Longchamp. Even the French brand Hermès is going to be there. ‘
This indicates that JHSF is navigating in a high-end market. It is also a showcase of extravagance along with consumerism for the Brazilian privileged. But today, this has become an important part of the Brazilian economy and learn more about JHSF.
